This individual works as a creative, multimedia storyteller using graphics, photography, and videography, and compelling written content to drive digital engagement. The policy is decided by division and contingent on continued performance./**//* *Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* *50% - Social Media Content Creation* · Conceptualize, produce and execute social media campaigns for various social media channels. Experience and education may be substituted for one another.*College Transcripts are required and must be provided before an interview can be extended, it is preferred they be attached to the application.* *Minimum Experience:* Two years managing multiple social media accounts while also creating content by shooting and editing video. */ /* *Additional Requirements*:  A valid Texas Driver’s License must be provided within 90 days of hire.   *Preferred Experience and Qualification:* · Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in communications, journalism, public relations, advertising, marketing, or a related field. · Experience with Hootsuite or other social media management platforms. *Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:* · Knowledge of news and communication media; various social media platforms; editing and preparing informational material; design principles · Skill preparing content and copy for posting on social media sites · Knowledge of the use of Adobe Creative Suite (such as Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop), and/or similar type software, including Canva · Skill producing video projects, to include planning, scripting, capturing footage, and designing graphics and interactive media materials for use on social media · Experience developing social media content strategies, policies, and procedures · Knowledge of the principles of graphic design, still and video photographic techniques, and production methods and procedures. · Knowledge of open records act and public record retention laws for preservation of records · Skill in creating graphics and special effects and in editing photos, audio, and video. · Knowledge of the use of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint) · Ability to edit and proofread online and print materials for accuracy and completeness · Experience analyzing and creating reports on social media and its effectiveness · Knowledge of social media trends and marketing and branding best practices · Ability to serve as a lead worker providing direction to others *Environmental & Physical Conditions: * Normal office work environment, mostly sedentary in nature. May involve walking; standing; remaining stationary for long periods of time; pulling and pushing; kneeling, stooping, and bending; and safely lifting and carrying items weighing up to 30 pounds.
