**TX Mechanic Assistant** **Job Details** **Job Location** Balch Springs - Balch Springs, TX **Position Type** Full Time **Job Description:** UES is seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanic Assistant to join our dynamic drilling department. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives in a hands-on environment! **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. + Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and facilities. Execute routine maintenance programs for company equipment. + Recommend course of action for repair/maintenance of equipment + Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment. + Carry out various tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager. + Travel required to field locations and remote shops. + Overtime, emergency call-ins and weekend hours may be required depending on work load. + Welding & torching (Steel, aluminum & Stainless Steel) + Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:** + Valid Texas driver’s license. + Proficient in using job-related tools and equipment. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills. + A service-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving. + Welding experience is a plus; Class A CDL preferred but not required. **Qualifications** **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:** + Possess a valid Texas driver’s license + Are skilled in the use of job-related tools + Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills + Have a service-oriented mentality + Have welding experience + Class A CDL preferred, but not required
