Position Summary\n

This is a UAS (Unmanned Aerial System) Simulation Specialist position at the Global Simulation Capability, National Simulation Center, Fort Leavenworth, KS in support of the National Simulation Center (NSC) Support Operations (SO) task order under MTCCS II IDIQ.\n

What You'll Do\n\nShall be a subject matter expert, with skills and experience training unit personnel in MUSE\/BV operation and personnel network and setup of systems\nShall be well-versed in real-world Multiple Unified Simulation Environment (MUSE) \/ Unmanned Airborne Systems (UAS) systems and operations\n\n

Requirements and Qualifications:\n\nBachelor's degree (Information Systems (IS) or Information Technology (IT), or associated discipline) \/ Experience troubleshooting technical issues that arise within the MUSE\/BV systems and providing immediate solutions to minimize downtime.\nFamiliarity with the technical aspects of UAS operations, including flight dynamics, control systems, and payload management\nKnowledge and proficiency in administering operating systems, especially Windows and Linux\/UNIX\nExperience managing servers, network HW\/SW, with an understanding of network protocols and security measures\nKnowledge of virtualization technologies, cloud services, and maintaining system security; experience administering server-side technology and networked computing systems\nWorking knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and database (DB) operations; experience integrating systems and providing support for training exercises, including setting up simulations, assisting in scenario creation, and ensuring the simulations run smoothly during training sessions.\nDoD IAT II Certified\nUnited States citizen\nActive Secret Clearance\n\n

Support Hours: The contractor is responsible for conducting business while the facility is open, between the hours of 0730-1630 Monday thru Friday except Federal holidays or when the Government facility is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government directed facility closings. Contractors may work in an alternative workplace when the Government facility is closed. In the event of a Government Shutdown, the contractor may work in the facility, if open\/manned, or in an alternative workplace.\n

Place of Performance: The work to be performed under this contract will be performed at Fort Leavenworth, KS. All Contractor employees shall abide by local guidance at each installation as it pertains to access, face coverings, physical distancing, and mandatory quarantine policies. Any unknowns or uncertainties will be resolved with the KO or COR for questions or concerns.\n

Travel: The Contractor will be authorized travel expenses consistent with the substantive provisions of the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR) and the limitation of funds specified in this contract.\n
