About the Role

Responsible for execution of functional testing to ensure that business processes, policy compliance, and system usability are enhanced, intact, and not negatively impacted by software solutions. This role represents our business user and work closely with cross unit in IT department to provide user acceptance on software deliverables.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Coordinate with Business Analyst Manager and requester to determine appropriate UAT test coverage, test scenarios, and exploratory testing strategy based on business requirements and timeline.

Prepare timely efforts estimates, key achievement build the test cases and test data document to complete the entire Testing Process.

Perform functional testing, defect management on technology solutions to validate business requirements, follow User Requirement Specifications (URSs) / Functional Specification (FSDs) and the outcome of the system.

Identify functional process related details, any conflicting or gaps in the processes and report functional defects, usability variances, and business process issues that may negatively impact production readiness or agreed upon acceptance criteria.

Re-testing all rectified defects and gaps or new findings until its completely satisfying the specifications.

Timely provide test results walkthrough to respective business users with the details of the performed Test cases and the Test results with relevant evidences (Screen shots, Test data etc) for User Sign-off.

Carryout specific testing and verifications to ensure the production system performs without issues or having negative impact to the business functions after system launch.

Initiate discussion with IT management in case there are any changes in the test scope to compute the additional effort.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or related experience in business or Information Systems is preferred

3 to 5 years functional testing experience with software development company or financial institution.

Experience in Life insurance domain is preferred.

Good knowledge in systems testing and end user experience expectations.

Good requirement understanding & quick learning skills.

Proficient analytical and communications skills (verbal/written).

Ability to analyze situations, courses of action, and consequences, and accurately communicate them to management.

Hands on experience on any test management and defect management tool.

Strong product knowledge and/or underwriting new business process understanding.

Proficient in use of Microsoft Office programs.

Detailed knowledge in testing, experience in test case writing, test data preparation, test execution, defect reporting and tracking.
