UBIF Advanced Training Specialist

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Advanced Training Specialist is an integral role for welcoming all new employees into the uBreakiFix family for both corporate & franchise spaces. The Advanced Training Specialist assists in the planning and administering of specialized Serve, Solve, Sell, and Productivity training for the organization. This position executes programs to develop employee skills, behaviors, and impart organizational practices and policies by utilizing various learning methods and tools usage. The incumbent will investigate training resources for appropriate information and suggest new topics.

The main objective of this position is to make a strategic impact by working closely with operations, sharing knowledge, employee development, and service our products to create a more positive consumer experience. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and delivering targeted and successful training programs, driving key metrics, and professional development. The Advanced Trainer also helps new franchisees set up and open their first locations while providing on-site training.

ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS/DUTIES:

Provide pre-opening support, franchisee support, and role development support for new franchisees to ensure a successful new store launchTransfer knowledge to learners by utilization of a variety of learning tools and application of adult learning principlesAccountable to performance of new hiresComplete Everyday Leadership belt progression program Report learning and certification progress of trainers and/or experts, day to day and week to week to Operations, Recruiting, and Workforce partners and stakeholdersMaintains a strong relationship with Operations team to influence customer experience, this also includes maintaining full production proficiencyCollaborate with Design to ensure training material is current with new topics and techniques Develop and deliver competency-based learning activities (i.e. performance management, coaching and feedback, customer service, etc.)Develop and guide expert skills post-new hire onboarding to drive performance (i.e. helping bring lower quartile performers in line with production expectations, leveraging top performers like Lead Experts, etc.)Provide cross-functional support to new business functions, client launches, and expert skills as a Subject Matter Expert and learning delivery consultantAssess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, and consultation with leaders, instructors, or customer representativesAssists in the sharing of best practices among the AU Training Delivery teamManages projects as neededPerform other duties as may be required or necessaryAdheres to internal standards, policies and proceduresPerforms other duties as assigned

SKILLS:

Technical skills:

Expertise with technical repair work including mobile & non-mobile devicesKnowledge of specific OEM repair procedures, including but not limited to Apple, Samsung, & GoogleStrong literacy with computer systems, like Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Strong virtual and live facilitation skillsAbility to perform well as video/audio recording talent when needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience2+ years hands-on experience in a technical field (related to smart home technology, cloud, mobile, or electronic repair) 2+ years of experience with modern, corporate communication software and tools (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Word, Zoom, Slack, etc.)1+ years of experience with live or virtual training and mentorship1+ years of experience with sales or repairyear tenure in current positionNo active corrective actionsEnd of Year and Month to date strong rating or betterMust be willing to work flexible hours, potentially including nights and weekends

Preferred Education and Experience

Minimum of 1 year of training experience, preferably in technical repair fields2+ years of experience project management experience preferred1+ years of people leadership experience desired2+ Years Multi-Unit ManagementCompletion of the UBIF Leadership Development Program1+ year experience as a UBIF Assistant Store Manager or abovePrevious/existing UBIF Store Owner
