About Cadia
Our Cadia Valley Operation in New South Wales is situated about 25 kilometers from Orange and 250 kilometers west of Sydney. Cadia produces gold doré bars from a gravity circuit and gold-rich copper concentrates from a flotation circuit. The operation includes the Cadia East Mine which is globally renowned for its use of block caving, a large-scale underground mining method.
We acknowledge the Wiradjuri people, traditional custodians of the land surrounding Cadia, and proudly run an Indigenous Buddy Program to enrich the workplace experience our Indigenous employees. Reporting to Supervisor - UG Mechanical FPM, you will be responsible for assisting with preventative and breakdown maintenance of all Fixed Plant equipment, including in general plant maintenance, shutdowns, fault-finding, and project work.

A current trade qualification as a Fitter/Boilermaker combined with experience in Fixed Plant or underground mining is essentialExperience on various types of crushers, conveyor systems, dewatering systems, ventilation systems, pumps and more The ability to identify major hazards within assigned tasks and implement the correct critical controls prior to starting any workCurrent manual drivers’ licenceBasic computer skills and experience with SAP or similar system would be advantageous
Please note: This is a permanent role based in Orange (no FIFO/DIDO), NSW on a 7D/7X/7N/7X roster.
