POSITION SUMMARY We’re seeking multiple UI/UX Developers to join the growing frontend team behind LEXSO (Layered Extended Security Operations)—a modular, microservice-based platform designed to integrate advanced sensors, AI, and automation for enhanced situational awareness and real-time security operations.
As a UI/UX Developer, you’ll help design and build the user interfaces and visual workflows that operators depend on for mission-critical decision-making. Our current frontend stack is built with React, WebSockets, and real-time geospatial mapping via Mapbox—but we’re open to web developers from all backgrounds with a passion for intuitive, data-rich design.
Whether you’re early in your career or bring years of experience, this role offers the chance to contribute meaningfully to a fast-paced engineering team building an ambitious, high-impact platform.
RESPONSIBILTIES:
· Design and implement UI components for our real-time operational dashboard, timelines, alerts, and camera/video controls
· Develop and refine user workflows and interactive visualizations (e.g., geospatial overlays, drag/drop control, event timelines)
· Work with React, TypeScript, WebSockets, and REST APIs—while maintaining flexibility for other modern frameworks
· Collaborate with backend and sensor engineers to build intuitive interfaces for complex system automation
· Help evolve our design system and component libraries (e.g., shadcn/ui, Tailwind CSS, etc.)
· Translate user and product requirements into well-structured, testable UI features
· Participate in sprint planning, design reviews, and end-to-end testing
· Collaborate using Git, GitHub, Figma, Jira/Confluence, and CI/CD pipelines
QUALIFICATIONS:
We welcome a wide range of experience levels—from early-career UI developers to more seasoned frontend engineers.
· Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (React preferred)
· Familiarity with responsive design, web accessibility, and component-based UI architecture
· Understanding of REST APIs, data modeling, and web-based state management
· Strong attention to detail and UX best practices
· Collaborative mindset and effective communication skills
· Preferred exposure to:
o React, Next.js, or Vue.js
o Mapbox, geospatial UI, or real-time data visualization
o Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, or other component libraries
o WebSockets, pub/sub architectures (e.g., Kafka), or real-time streaming data
o Figma, design tokens, or UI/UX workflows
o Docker, Kubernetes, or other DevOps tools
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Software Engineering, Digital Media, or a related technical/design field is required.
· Degrees in Interaction Design, UX/UI Design, or Web Development will also be considered
