Responsibilities
Success will be measured by your contribution and collaboration within the Experience Design group and your areas of focus will be:
● Participate in discovery activities to define high-level user journeys identifying key features and capabilities needed
● Produce user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and design specs to communicate detailed designs and solutions to guide development sprints
● Use documentation, reviews, and presentations to communicate clear and compelling ideas to a wide range of key stakeholders
● Champion the user throughout the build by continually promoting human-centered design methods, including research, validation, and the inclusion of user feedback
● Work with multi-disciplinary teams and consistently promote active collaboration, co-creation and continual alignment while building close relationships with customers and key stakeholders
● Create designs that adhere to and extend the existing guidelines
● Conduct and/or participate in design validation and/or user testing with end-users
● Generate detailed final design specs that inspire accurate developer builds
● Respond positively and calmly to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines
● Work with technical teams and quality experts to deliver a polished final product
● Promote and educate others on new interface guidelines and design patterns
● Create inclusive designs for all users; advocate for accessibility, encouraging product and engineering management to prioritize accessible features and bug fixes
● Continually strive to raise the bar for the overall quality of design and design artifacts
Experience/Skills Required
● Experience Designer: - 3-5 years in-depth knowledge and experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a design-related discipline
● 3+ years of experience designing and delivering exceptional experiences from start to finish, applying user-centered design processes while working collaboratively with customers, alongside cross-functional teams
● Deep understanding of and experience using design thinking as well as agile methodology and
best practices
● Experience working with design systems (for eg. Salesforce Lightning Design System)
● Knowledge or experience using Salesforce products
● Ability to present and share the rationale behind the proposed solutions using appropriate
medium (sketches, schematics, wires, click-throughs, storyboards, high-fidelity mocks, rapid
prototyping and end-to-end narratives)
● Expert knowledge of current design tools such as Figma, along with an ability to quickly learn new tools as they emerge
● Experience using multiple approaches, including analytics and user research, to drive decisions and develop design iterations
● Ability to work with technical and business team members to evolve epics and user stories into wireframes and/or visualized prototypes
● Ability to influence, refine and iterate based on the learnings and being open to receive and offer constructive feedback
