The Team:
The Europe and Middle East (EMEA) Payroll Team is responsible for the delivery of pay services across the EMEA region. Reporting to the EMEA Payroll Manager, you will be part of the team ensuring accurate pay service delivery in addition to meeting our tax and legal obligations.
You will work closely with the individual pay delivery teams, as well as the Compensation, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Shared Services, Global Mobility and HR Leadership.
This is a challenging role that requires exceptional communication, organizational and interpersonal skills to effectively solve complex tax and pay related issues and advise key stakeholders. The ability to understand and clearly communicate issues and provide solutions is critical to success, as are flexibility, ability to multi-task, and sold time management skills to ensure multiple deadlines are met. There is a requirement to proactively identify employee and firm level issues and work to mitigate these whilst understanding the wider implications.
Responsibilities:
Collation, data entry and processing of various payroll related transactions
Inputting, checking and reconciling the payroll information to achieve accurate, timely and compliant payments to employees, government agencies and third party providers
Ensuring that all statutory reporting deadlines are met.
Answering payroll queries from employees and other key stakeholder i.e. HR, Finance etc.
Updating standard operating procedure (SOP) documents as required.
Provide back up in the team for other countries as required.
Performs complex analytics, consulting, and process design tasks to support the successful delivery of payroll
Evaluates existing processes, technologies, and routines to drive process improvements
Implement controls to mitigate and manage compliance and operational risk
Partners with HR program functions on an ongoing basis to ensure processes meet design requirements
Required Skills:
Experience of running end to end payrolls
Proven track record of working in Payroll and an understanding of Payroll Finance
Being able to organise and prioritise the workload and manage multiple tasks / deadlines while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and level of service
Must be proactive in driving efficiencies and producing new ideas to improve the current processes
Excellent reporting and data reconciliation skills, including intermediate Excel (Pivot Table, Vlookup)
Excellent team player with the ability to build effective team relationships and promote an environment of trust and flexibility
Previous experience of implementing new payroll software desirable
Previous banking experience desirable but not essential
Understanding of payroll accounting and finance
Previous experience or awareness of Workday Payroll not essential but desirable
