Ultrasonic Systems Engineer
As a Ultrasonic Systems Engineer at Honeywell, in Luton, you will develop ultrasonic flow sensors with ultrasonic transducers from the prototype phase to series production in the field of gas and water meters. You will develop and validate signal processing and calibration algorithms using Matlab and Python and you will be responsible for the development of product and component specifications for ultrasonic meters.

Duties
You support the implementation of specifications in prototypes. You work on the development of test setups for evaluating the meter accuracy und different conditions. Additionally, you are responsible for driving FEM and CFD simulations (acoustic, mechanical, and temperature fields as well as fluid mechanics) and evaluate the results to support the design development. You conduct metrological work in the laboratory. This includes adapting the test setup for the respective prototypes, capturing the measurement data, and evaluating it. You prepare and report the results of the related measurements, simulations and tests.
Key skills and qualifications
Degree in engineering, preferably in physics or mechatronics. Knowledge of ultrasonic technology and in assembly and contacting techniques, including soldering, gluing, and potting. Experience in data acquisition and processing and Additionally, you have worked with CAD-based design (ideally with Creo Parametrics) and working in FEM and CFD simulation (ideally in Ansys). You are experienced in working with Matlab and/or Python and use your creativity in developing technical solutions. You are proficient in German and English, both written and spoken
