**Job Description Summary**
In this role, the AKA Ultrasound GM is responsible for shaping, implementing, and executing the Ultrasound business strategy for both equipment and service to drive market share gain and profitable growth in the AKA region. This involves collaboration with global modality and product leaders, Zone GMs/CEOs, and Service leaders. The GM will partner with Zone Leaders to deliver Ultrasound Orders, Sales, CM, and Market Share, acting as the point person for Ultrasound and the AKA voice to Global Ultrasound Modality teams to reflect market needs and secure their support to win Ultrasound business.

**Job Description**
**Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions:**
+ Define and drive sales enablement strategies using product management as the primary lever.
+ Develop expertise and product depth in regions.
+ Provide leadership and direction to the Product teams, enabling them to support the sales teams in their region.
+ Manage the Product P&L(s) by focusing on key performance measures, namely Revenue, Order, and Contribution Margin, while staying within the allocated base cost budget.
+ Generate new business opportunities that leverage GEHC in the marketplace, including partnerships and solutions.
+ Define and develop market segmentation strategies and devise appropriate product positioning plans.
+ Evaluate and launch NPIs in a timely manner to capitalize on market demand ahead of competition.
+ Act as a conduit to the Global Product Marketing teams through the region product marketers, sharing region-specific inputs to help develop products customized for the region’s needs.
+ Support key commercial initiatives at all times.
+ Partner with Zone Leaders to manage SBU escalations for competitive pricing for big modality deals, monitor pricing processes, and drive local empowerment for pricing across AKA.
+ Develop a strategy for increasing channel contributions to Revenue and work towards increasing the expertise of channel partners.
+ Represent GE at key trade shows and exhibitions, showcasing cutting-edge technologies to provide a competitive advantage in the market.
+ Drive and implement focused and prioritized business initiatives to trigger growth by making strategic trade-offs where required.
+ Represent One GE Healthcare in multi-modality deals, large projects, and cross-P&L business events.
+ Create a trusting environment with country sales teams that values teamwork for the overall benefit of customer satisfaction.
+ Work towards improving customer satisfaction in all segments, devising and implementing objective ways to measure Customer Satisfaction (e.g., through surveys, interviews).
+ Develop long-term relationships with customers; provide leadership in showcasing newer technologies to customers and creating a ‘pull’ from the market.
+ Establish strong relationships at the executive level in key customer accounts and with Key Opinion Leaders.
+ Continuously develop deep clinical and technical knowledge for modalities, including awareness of current and future trends in healthcare technology and healthcare funding mechanisms.
+ Partner with Zone GMs and CEOs to develop and allocate necessary Sales & Segment resources and provide clinical and technical support to win deals across AKA.
+ Drive employee engagement activities to ensure retention across the zone, recognizing success, sharing best practices, and providing exposure to team members with senior leaders within the region, products, and modalities.
+ Performance management and development of resources.
+ Act as a role model for a collaborative mindset across P&L/functions.
+ Own account teams’ product/service/solution strategy and offerings education.
+ Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the Zone/Product matrix organization. Share and follow up on identified leads to other product lines within own accounts and/or One GEHC accounts.
**Qualifications/Requirements**
+ MBA or Masters’ degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent
+ Experience in healthcare capital equipment or medical devices industry
+ 12+ years’ experience in Business Management, Product Marketing/Development, or equivalent years of experience in progressive leadership positions within the Healthcare industry with in-depth knowledge of the healthcare market
+ Strategic thinking and ability to translate strategy into actions; experience establishing comprehensive strategy and plans for business growth
+ Excellent oral and written communications skills; strong analytical and process skills
+ Leadership skills to lead teams and shape/lead growth vision
+ Teaming skills – Ability to influence, motivate and work with diverse, cross-functional teams, across levels
+ Experience interacting with customers, marketing/product management groups, and other industry experts
