Ultrasound Sonographer, Per Diem

Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join the Bridgton Hospital Diagnostic Ultrasound team!

This is a per diem, flexible as needed, position.

Bridgton Hospital Region: Bridgton, Maine captures a perfect slice of lakeside beauty. located in Maine’s Lake Region, the town is nestled among many of the state’s most scenic lakes, mountains and forests, offering a variety of year-round outdoor recreation activities, as well as easy access to some of the area’s most significant historical and cultural sites,

The Opportunity:

The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer performs patient assessments, acquires and analyzes data obtained using ultrasound, and uses independent judgment and systematic problem-solving methods to produce high quality diagnostic information and optimize patient care.  Provides a summary of findings to the physician or health care provider to aid in patient diagnosis and management. Participates in CQI activities.

Education and experience:

ARDMS Registered or ARDMS candidate. 

Graduate of a CAAHEP-approved school of Ultrasonography or has received education and clinical experience and demonstrated competence to obtain appropriate ARDMS certification within a year of hire preferred.

Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required. Recertification of existing employees is due within one month of expiration date

Specific experience and training in Ultrasound and proficient knowledge of Ultrasound Equipment
