**Overview** **Sonographer** As a Sonographer you will perform both General and Vascular Ultrasound procedures with varying degrees of complexity. To be successful in this role you will demonstrate extensive knowledge of Sonography imaging techniques to assist the Radiologist in successfully diagnosing and treating the patient's condition. Performs both General and Vascular Ultrasound procedures with varying degrees of complexity. If you are committed to social justice, health equity, and prepared to deliver care in new, innovative ways, you belong with us. **Responsibilities** + Produces quality ultrasound images General, OB/GYN, and Vascular procedures. + Assess patient's condition/information and determine the appropriateness of the procedures to be performed + Evaluate patients for the presence or absence, severity and location of peripheral vasculardisease by selecting the most effective procedure(s) from an array of anatomic,hemodynamic and physiologic procedures including duplex scanning, plethysmography,doppler ultrasound, pressure measurements and active or passive hyperemic challenge. + Record test results and report the results to the physician upon completion of testing.Document and prepare patient records for review and interpretation by physician + May rotate shifts or be in an “on call” status + May rotate between different campuses within Brazos Valley **Qualifications** **Required Education and Experience** + Completion of an accredited Sonography program **Required Licensure and Certifications** + Sonography Certification by ARRT or ARDMS + BLS **Preferred Education:** + Associates Degree, Allied Health or Radiologic Technology **Pay Range** $26.38 - $38.26 /hour We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
