Job DescriptionUltrasound Technologist - Full Time, Days position in the Radiology/Imaging unit at Lutheran Health Network - Lutheran Downtown Eligible for a sign on bonus - up to $25,000!Hours: 40 hours/week - 8 hr. shifts 8a-4:30p M-F - Shift NegotiableCall rotation and holiday call requiredWill consider cross trained sonographer - general, vascular, or echoBenefitted position - starting the 1st of the month following your start date! This facility includes space to grow to 100+ beds while currently housing 60 beds total, including a 19-bed emergency department, cardiac catheterization labs, 2 gastroenterology suites, hyperbaric medicine, wound care, imaging services (MRI and CT), and robotic-assisted surgery.  New Free Standing Emergency Department coming soon! 

Job Summary:

Receives or escorts patients into examination area; reviews pertinent patient information; instructs patient concerning the examination to be performed.Positions patients to obtain and affect the results specified for diagnosesIn consultation with radiologist performs optimum diagnostic ultrasound scans using high-frequency ultrasound machines designed to image organs, masses, and fluid accumulations within the body to provide diagnostic information for interpretation by the physicianOperates all equipment properly and with care and regularly performs maintenance and quality control work. Immediately reports any malfunctions, necessary adjustments, or repairs.Performs first aid as required and assists in cases of adverse reaction to contrast media or in other emergencies.Observes and practices sterile techniques to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases

Education: 

Successful graduation from a nationally accredited school of Sonography.

Certification/Registration: 

Current BLS certification. ARDMS certification or registry eligible.—must be ARDMS registered within 1 year of hire.Maintain all necessary education set by ARDMS and this facility.

Preferred Certifications: 

RVT and/or additional ARDMS certifications very desirable
