Under the general guidance of the physicians/providers performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasonographic procedures. Conducts patient education as necessary. Reports to: Director of Imaging Services *Required Skills* Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. *Required License/Certification* Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire ARRT(S) ARDMS, or equivalent certification ARDMS (S) plus ARDMS (RVT) and/or RDCS preferred *Minimum Education* Graduate of a school of Radiologic Technology/Ultrasound required. Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy. *Minimum Work Experience* At least one year of previous experience in a Sonography role is strongly preferred. Ability to accept on-call assignments for regularly scheduled shifts when acuity and/or census indicates need. Will be available to facility within 45 minutes of notification.
