Under the general guidance of the physicians/providers performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasonographic procedures. 

Reports to: Imaging Supervisor and Director Diagnostic Services

Reviews patient history and physician orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment & exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.Drag Edit DeleteReceives patients, explains method of procedure and makes sure patient is comfortable.Drag Edit DeleteProvides patient services to all ages using imaging modalities.Drag Edit DeleteOperates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.Drag Edit DeleteMaintains equipment and supplies and organizes work area.

Minimum Education
Associate’s degree in Radiology - PreferredDrag Edit DeleteMinimum Education

Certifications:
BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required to be obtained within 90 days of employment, if not current upon hire.Drag Edit DeleteRequired Skills
Licenses:
Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Sonography(s) and/or registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). New graduates must acquire valid registration within 12 months of hire date.Drag Edit DeleteMinimum Work Experience
Six (6) months experience performing Ultrasound procedures
