Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium, MI is seeking an ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGIST to join our team!
Duties Include:
Performs complex ultrasound procedures while exercising professional judgment in the performance of services. Demonstrates the ability to obtain high quality diagnostic images and analyze the findings. Provides the radiologist with diagnostic evidence along with the pertinent clinical assessment, in order for a final diagnosis to be made.HOURS: This position is Full Time; 1.0 FTE or 80 hours per pay period. Day Shift.
Experience/Qualifications
Knowledge of ultrasound standards and procedures normally acquired through graduation from an approved ultrasound program.Knowledge of radiology standards and procedures normally acquired through graduation from an approved radiology school with a certificate or degree in radiology.Good communication skills.Possesses expert knowledge of and applies principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to the patient, self and others.Must be ARDMS registered. Must maintain registered status by meeting their CME requirements and guidelines.Completion of a Radiologic Technology training program at an approved school (Certificate, Associate, or BS).
