Ultrasound Technologist Location: Waimea, HI Duration: Fulltime Shift Information: Days, Full Time Description: Job summary/responsibilities: Prepares and performs ultrasound examinations on patients. Collaborates with physicians on examinations. Minimum qualifications: Education/certification and licensure: Graduate of a CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) approved school of Ultrasound Technology or other approved program as determined by the department; or registered Radiologic Technologist with two (2) years supervised work/training in diagnostic ultrasound. Registered or registry candidate by ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) in Abdomen and OB/GYN sonography. Registered by ARDMS as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) preferred. Current BLS/HCP certification. Experience: Prior recent experience as a diagnostic medical sonographer or Echo Ultrasound Technologist in acute health care facility preferred. Ability to use critical thinking skills to solve problems and make decisions. Ability to prioritize multiple assignments/projects and respond to numerous requests and work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team.
