This position will entail:
Primarily a work schedule of: Monday - Friday (8a - 4:30p CST)Rotating call on Weekends and HolidaysJob Description:
The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing imaging procedures under the direction of a physician using imaging modalities at a technical level not requiring constant supervision; performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative; assumes responsibilities for designated areas or procedures as required; performing patient services using imaging modalities, applying principles of imaging for technical quality, exercising professional judgment in the performance of procedures, providing patient care.
Education:
Associates degree or Certificate in Ultrasonography or RadiographyLicensure & Certification:
American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Sonography R.T.(S)(ARRT) or registry eligible with successful completion of the registry within six months of employment requiredARDMS (RDMS), post-primary sonography certification may include but not limited to Abdomen, Breast, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatric Sonography preferredARDMS - RVT, ARRT - RT(VS), or CCI - RVS required within six months of employment if performing peripheral vascular procedures requiredLicensed by the State of Indiana as Radiologic Technologist required if holding R.T. (R)(ARRT) and performing radiography. May work under Radiology Student Permit for the first 6 months post-graduationBLS required.INDSURGIMG
