Job Summary
The Ultrasound Technologist is a specialized tech who provides quality patient care when performing diagnostic general/or vascular sonographic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention to aid in better diagnosing of patients.

Patient Assessment - Perform patient interviews to gather medical history and relevant information, ensuring patient safety and proper procedure planning. Performs proper patient identification, acquires patient’s clinical history, and assures that the information is accurately documented. Position patient, equipment, associated devices and manipulates technical factors to achieve high quality images for interpretation. Equipment Setup - Prepare and calibrate Ultrasound equipment, and ensure daily and weekly quality control measures are taken. Imaging Procedures and Optimization - Conduct imaging studies using various techniques and protocols. Adjust equipment settings to obtain clear and accurate images, optimizing image quality and ensuring diagnostic value. Works closely with the radiologists to perform proper diagnostic testing when abnormalities are identified. Data Analysis - Analyze acquired images and recordings to identify abnormalities, measurements, and anomalies. Assesses diagnostic images for technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification, ensuring that all relative anatomy is demonstrated. Documentation - Maintain detailed records of procedures, patient information, and image data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations. Communication - Collaborate with radiologists to discuss findings and help in the development of treatment plans and diagnoses. Maintains accurate and precise documentation. Accurately record orders from physicians in the patient record. Quality Assurance - Comprehends and complies with Quality Control standards and participates in all Quality Control tasks. Complies with all state and federal regulations applicable to the Ultrasound modality. Compliance - Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, policies, and protocols, including HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Maintains adherence to all company policies related to Compliance.
