Ultrasound/Wilderness Medicine Fellowship

The Department of Emergency Medicine, Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio is accepting applications for our Ultrasound/Wilderness Medicine Fellowship. Optimal candidates will have completed an emergency medicine residency and must be BC/BE in Emergency Medicine.
 
Overview
This Fellowship will equip emergency physicians to become leaders in ultrasound and wilderness medicine. Fellows gain experience in a broad range of clinical, research, teaching, and administrative skills. The fellowship is designed for emergency physicians preparing for a career in academic emergency medicine, wilderness medicine, and ultrasound. Fellows will also serve part-time as clinical faculty in the Emergency Department at University Hospital and participate in medical student and resident education pertaining to the specific fellowship program.
 
Structure
The fellowship will begin July 1 and last eighteen months.  Dependent on Fellowship Program, Fellows will divide their time between international field work, educational training, projects and research, and clinical work in the Emergency Department.
