The Department of Neurology at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine is seeking a Staff Physician position for the Division of Neuromuscular Disorders . The successful candidate will be expected to participate actively in the clinical programs of the Neuromuscular Divisions . This is a .10 FTE position, equating to one clinical session/4 hours a week. The candidate must posse ss a M edical D egree from an accredit ed M edical S chool , Florida Medical License, Board Certification in Neurology and Psychiatr y and preferably completed a Neuromuscular fellowship. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS): Education and experience: + Requires an MD degree from a recognized accredited University (or foreign equivalent). + Board Certification in Neurology and Psychiatry + Fellowship in Neuromuscular preferred . + USA citizen or USA Legal resident Knowledge Skills and Abilities: + Good communications skills (face to face, over the phone and in writing) + Excellent customer service skills Ability to work collaboratively with other employees. + Good organizational skills. WORK CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS Work conditions : work is normally performed in an indoor office environment. Subject to frequent interruptions. Physical Activity Requirements: + Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person or by telephone. + Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate keyboard and other office equipment. + Reaching to retrieve and maintain files. + Bending, pushing, moving and lifting files, documents and objects weighing up to approximately 15-20 pounds.
