Provide on-call support for urgent operational requirements as needed. Maintain familiarity with sensor capabilities and applications in border security operations. Assist in the inventory, deployment, and maintenance of UGS systems in diverse terrains and conditions. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance, including alignment, inspection, and sensor testing. Provide technical assistance during UGS operations and train team members in system use and maintenance. Diagnose and resolve malfunctions, replace hardware components, troubleshoot software, and verify corrections. Follow established safety procedures for all maintenance and operations. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and operational guidelines in all activities. Maintain detailed records of deployments, maintenance, and system performance, and compile data for reports. Manage accountability for system components, including hardware, software, and spare parts. Maintain diagnostic and operational tools, support equipment, and test systems. Collaborate with CBP offices, DHS officials, and USBP personnel to align operational objectives and ensure proper reporting. Contribute to the development and implementation of new UGS technologies and strategies.This position is ideal for individuals with:
