Yes County Albany Street Address 110 STATE STREET City Albany State NY Zip Code 12236 Duties Description • Serve as a subject matter expert for OUF’s System Modernization Project• Participate in developing and executing data conversion, testing and implementation plans.• Identify anomalies, errors or omissions with converted data and programs • Assist with developing training plans for the new unclaimed funds system• Identify common characteristics of the new and old processing systems to facilitate training• Provide support to Project Team to transition staff to the new system• Act as team lead on sub-tasks for the Project• Oversee subordinate subject matter experts in executing their assignments• Assist the Project Coordinator in the exercise of his/her duties• Suggest and develop new approaches and techniques to streamline new system processes• Complete special projects or assignments as required by OUF management Minimum Qualifications • One year of service as an Unclaimed Funds Examiner 1 Additional Comments Knowledge, skills, and abilities:• Advanced knowledge of the Abandoned Property Law, business practices and policies of the Office of Unclaimed Funds.• Expert familiarity with the Unclaimed Funds Processing System (UFPS) with the demonstrated ability to identify anomalies, errors and omissions in converted data.• Experience providing training on the applicability of policies and requirements to process claims and reports of abandoned property.• Ability to work within and across teams and to conceptualize and communicate ideas.• Excellent interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication skills.• Ability to work within and across teams and to conceptualize and communicate ideas.• Excellent interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication skills.Telecommuting: The Office of the New York State Comptroller (OSC) supports telecommuting where it is reasonable to do so based upon the agency’s mission and operational needs. Generally, employees new to OSC will be restricted from telecommuting for at least 8 calendar weeks.
