A career within Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet and manage their tax obligations across unique but ever changing tax specialties. You’ll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing indirect taxes, dispute resolution, and global enterprise tax solutions.Our team helps our clients identify and reduce tax risks, meet compliance obligations, implement tax strategies that complement business and operational objectives, resolve disagreements with tax authorities, and manage tax accounting and reporting issues. You’ll be engaged in projects dealing with International tax, mergers and acquisitions, state and local tax accounting, regulatory processes, tax reporting and strategy.
As an Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Proactively assist the team in various aspects of the projectPrepare deliverablesContribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumenKeep up to date with local and national business and economic issuesEnsure you are adhering to compliance mattersWork on developing internal relationships and your PwC brandResponsibilities
Prepare detailed technical tax memoranda/advice across a range of tax matters including international transactions, tax treaties, tax reform issues, merger and acquisition, corporate restructuring, and broad tax planning and compliance.Secure tax rulings from the Philippine Bureau of Internal Revenue to clarify gray areas in tax laws and to confirm the tax treatment of particular transactions.Handle tax disputes of clients with taxation authorities which involved preparation of position papers and protest letters and follow-ups and discussions with revenue officers on their findings.Provide a tax compliance review.Review corporate tax returns.Assist in the business organization, registration, post-registration, expansion, spin-offs, mergers, or closure and represented clients before government agencies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Local Government Units, etc.Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brandBachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor Degree holderCertified Public Accountant or graduate of any business courseOpen for virtual/flexible working arrangementsEducation (if blank, degree and/or field of study not specified)
