Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit In the Bryan School of Business & Economics, we create and disseminate knowledge about the theory and practice of business. Position Summary The primary responsibility of the Undergraduate Professional Development Program Manager is to administer Bryan Blueprint, an undergraduate professional development program for all Bryan School students. This will entail organizing and managing for-credit curricular offerings and professional development activities for students throughout their undergraduate studies within the Bryan School. This also includes overseeing the creation, logistics, and assessment of activities, as well as creating additional programs as deemed necessary to support student professional development and online engagement.
This role is also responsible for organizing, managing, and teaching professional development programs each semester, while overseeing the use of the “Suitable” system to track student professional development activities. The position requires supervision of subordinate(s) in the administration of the program.
Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree with three to five years of related experience. Additional Required Certifications, Licensures, and Certificates Preferred Qualifications Preferred graduate degree in business or a closely related field. Experience in student services, student professional development, career development, or instruction. Experience working in a business school or higher education. Experience with student data management systems. Experience using data to make informed decisions and use a variety of assessment methods to evaluate programs and student progress.

Activities include: Scheduling and Staffing approximately 43 course sections each year. As almost all of the Blueprint course sections are taught by industry professionals, the position is responsible for recruiting these instructors and when new, facilitating their hire and onboarding. Maintaining positive relationships and regular outreach are key in the retention of existing instructors. Providing annual training and evaluation of all faculty teaching all sections. Conducting pre- and post-assessments of the students in all of the course sections to determine if the learning goals are being met. Incorporate those assessment results into planning and curricular changes for the courses each year. Share results with Director of Assessment and Planning for accreditation purposes. Responsible for managing and collecting the data for the employment outcomes for graduating Bryan School undergraduate and graduate students, managing the data in the UNCG 12Twenty reporting system, and creating reports for internal and external audiences based on the data. Percentage Of Time 20% Key Responsibility Undergraduate Student Instruction Essential Tasks Serving as the instructor of record for 5 to 8 Bryan Blueprint course sections each year. Percentage Of Time 20% Key Responsibility Supervision Essential Tasks Provide supervision of two full-time direct reports and graduate student workers, as appropriate. Efforts to include delegating work assignments, coaching, training, and performance evaluation. Train and supervise 25 to 30 part-time faculty each year. Via coordination with the full-time direct report, select, assign and evaluate roughly 50 student peer team leaders for 34 of the course sections that involve student team leaders. Percentage Of Time 20% Key Responsibility Student Outreach and Advising Essential Tasks Present at Bryan School and UNCG student recruitment events throughout the year as well as participate in SOAR orientation events and NAV1GATE for new students. Advise students on use of tracking system and appropriate portfolio of activities. Includes, but is not limited to, working with students and student organizations on design and delivery of professional development activities. Provide professional development advising to students through leading, developing, and organizing content for student professional development sessions and conferences throughout the academic year. Supervise direct report(s) and student workers in implementation of the Bryan Gold Co-curricular student professional development program. Including reviewing activities, planning events, and overseeing implementation.
