**_Underground Superintendent - Directional Drilling_** Ultimate LLC is looking to hire a Directional Drilling Superintendent for projects across the Midwest and Southern regions. The pay range is $30-$35 per hour based on experience, with an average workweek of 50 hours, including overtime. Ultimate LLC provides weekly pay for all employees with no week in the hole, plus benefits and bonus eligibility. Ultimate Directional Drilling Superintendent Responsibilities + Operate and maintain horizontal directional drills, mini excavators, backhoes, drop plows, locating equipment, hydro vacs, heavy trucks/trailers, and perform routine equipment maintenance/minor repairs. + Manage fiber mainline, drops, and associated work scopes, with general knowledge of underground utilities (water, power, gas). + Organize daily/weekly tasks, meet production goals, and oversee crew performance. + Communicate daily with project managers on production reports and schedules. + Ensure high-quality work, safety compliance, and professional customer/community interactions. + Use basic computer applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) proficiently. + Lead successful project execution, train and develop crew members, and promote career growth. Ultimate Directional Drilling Superintendent Requirements + 10+ years of horizontal drilling experience, with 5+ years in a field crew lead role (10 years preferred). + Class A CDL and a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. + Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment with 24/7 availability for customer call-outs. + Proficient in Microsoft programs and comfortable with computer-based drilling software. + Strong technical problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills. + Ability to perform moderate bending, squatting, twisting, and frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs independently. + High school diploma required; associate’s degree in electronics/telecommunications preferred. + Willingness to travel overnight and work extended hours in various field conditions. + Commitment to safety, quality craftsmanship, and maintaining a professional attitude.
