Role Details
Reporting to the Underground Supervisor, the Trainee: Nipper will learn how to assist the mining team to achieve daily targets while working closely with the underground operators, ensuring that all tasks are carried out in a timely and efficient manner

This role is offered on a 12 month fixed term contract on 8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights on, 7 nights off roster and is FIFO from Perth or DIDO from local surrounding communities.

Duties of the role:
Be organized and prepared to undertake all assigned tasks by the supervisor Learn to source and deliver equipment such as tools, piping, services, and anything else that is needed for the smooth operation of the underground mine Develop skills in waste removal, transporting items from underground work areas to waste dumps Assist Jumbo Operators with bolting and meshing as required Gain knowledge in setting up headings with bolts and mesh, and assist service crew when required Ensure all pre-starts are completed and arrive fit for work for all rostered days
About You:
Current Manual Drivers License Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal Competent to work 12 hour shifts, including nights Previous labouring, mobile operating or paste fill experience highly regarded
