Underwriter, Chubb Global Services
Review and evaluate renewal and new, global business accounts in accordance with established underwriting guidelines. Work on US admitted accounts of all sizes. Lines of business include General Liability, Property, Automobile, and Umbrella. Partner with Chubb Overseas General and Canadian underwriters as well as US brokers to coordinate pricing, coverage, terms and conditions as part of a global controlled master program. Provide account management services that will integrate the US coverage into a worldwide controlled master insurance program Conduct renewal review and development of new business for the Chubb Overseas General and Canadian branches assigned Work effectively and collaborate with a team of underwriters, underwriting associates, operations, claims and loss control personnel worldwide Build relationships with US brokers and international underwriters. The position may require periodic travel.

The above position requires a strong service orientation to facilitate positive relationships with brokers as well as our international colleagues. The potential candidate should have solid knowledge of commercial underwriting and insurance industry practices. The candidate should also demonstrate technical expertise in Property and Casualty lines of business. In addition, the individual should possess the following skills/qualities:

Competencies/Technical Skills:

1-2 years underwriting US admitted property, general liability, automobile, and umbrella.Demonstrated strong technical acumen in Property and Casualty lines of businessAbility to adapt to changing business environmentDemonstrate ability to think creativelyProven time and desk management skillsStrong (verbal and written) communication, interpersonal and negotiation skillsAbility to work independently, show initiative, while demonstrating strong collaboration skills in a team environmentSolid organizational and analytical skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as well as other business-related software

 Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experienceThe ideal candidate will have minimum of 1-2 years underwriting US property, general liability, automobile, worker’s compensation and umbrella.
