As a Marine Reinsurance Underwriter, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our marine and energy reinsurance portfolio by:

**What will you do in this role?**
+ Evaluate, structure, and underwrite marine and energy reinsurance treaties, ensuring alignment with corporate risk appetite and underwriting guidelines.
+ Negotiate treaty terms and conditions with cedents.
+ Validate and drafting of treaty wordings.
+ Analyze markets cycles and assist in development of market strategies and business plans.
+ Manage monitoring of aggregate commitments specific to the portfolio subsegments.
+ Company representation and client engagement including some travel and client visits.
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with key brokers and cedants in relevant markets to enhance the company’s profile and support profitable growth.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor and adapt to market conditions, ensuring the portfolio remains balanced across geographies, products, and risks.
+ Partner with actuarial, claims, and pricing teams to ensure robust analysis and decision-making.
+ Participate in the collective training of co-workers and promotion of technical skills.

**About You:**

**What you need to have:**
+ 5-10 years of experience underwriting marine and energy treaties, with a proven track record of success in the London reinsurance market.
+ Familiarity with a wide range of marine risks, including hull, cargo, offshore energy, liability and PV&T.
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex risks and make sound underwriting decisions.
+ Proficiency in reinsurance modelling tools and techniques, with a focus on maintaining a profitable portfolio.
+ Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with brokers and clients.
+ A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across teams and geographies.
+ A proactive, solution-oriented approach to addressing challenges and seizing opportunities.
**Role Factors:**
In this role, you will typically be required to:
Travel internationally when required
Be in the office 3 days per week.
