Overview AMERISAFE is seeking a detailed-oriented, productivity driven professional to add to our “Excellence Team” based in DeRidder, LA. An underwriter decides whether to provide insurance and under what terms through detailed risk analysis and assessment. Upon completion of our in-depth training program, you will be given the tools to effectively underwrite and manage an assigned new and/or renewal book of business. Upon an offer and acceptance of employment with AMERISAFE, you will be required to complete our pre-employment screening, which includes a criminal background check, a 10-panel drug test and, if applicable, a review of your motor vehicle report. A 10-panel drug test includes amphetamine/methamphetamine, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cocaine metabolite (BZE), marijuana metabolite (THCA), methadone, methaqualone, codeine/morphine, phencyclidine, propoxyphene.
