Build, maintain, and grow a book of marine construction businessManage agency relationships and serve as lead client contactCreate and execute marketing plan to increase new and renewal businessDevelop each risk to determine acceptability, coverage, and pricing for large or complex marine construction renewals as well as new businessDevelop and submit underwriting referrals to underwriting partner companyBind, quote, and maintain accountsMonitor key metrics to formulate corrective action impacting new business hit, renewal retention, premium growth, and loss ratioRegular national travel as required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum 3 years of commercial lines underwriting experience required, with some Ocean Marine experience preferredDemonstrated proficiency in sales and marketingProven organization skills and ability with a strong attention to detailInterest in continued education and professional developmentInsurance license, CPCU, CIC or comparable designations preferred
