Citibank, N.A. seeks an Underwriter for its Irving TX location. Duties: Responsible for credit underwriting, due diligence, structuring, and documentation of the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications portfolio. Assess credit strengths and weaknesses of clients within the portfolio by performing fundamental credit analysis using quantitative and qualitative factors by preparing, reviewing, and approving credit memos such as annual reviews and transactions. Assess a client’s credit worthiness and recommend an adequate credit structure by outlining credit risks utilizing financial analysis, industry analysis, risk ratings designation, covenant monitoring, and debt repayment capacity analysis. Participate in strategic projects for U.S. or Global Commercial Lending Management initiatives to provide critical inputs that direct the future of credit formation within Citi Commercial Bank as well as mentoring junior and other support staff in the area. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation in Banking, Credit Risk Management, or equivalent credit industry experience. Five (5) years of experience must include: Interpreting financial statements including balance sheets and income and cash flow statements by building spreadsheets in Excel highlighting key financial metrics and ratios to analyze and document a client’s credit risk; Identifying, describing, and mitigating non-financial risks that could be present in a company including legal, Enterprise Security Risk Management, geopolitical, and concentration risks; Communicating and documenting the creditworthiness of a business utilizing credit analysis and recommending an adequate credit facility structure for a client; Monitoring and staying up to date with various industries and sectors by using tools and technologies including Factset, Bloomberg and Capital IQ as well as professional trade organizations to assess the economic, market and industry-specific factors that might impact a client or a portfolio’s credit risk; and Adhering to regulatory compliance by meeting required legal and regulatory standards for every extension of credit imposed by regulators such as Basel ensuring the integrity, legality and soundness of a credit structure from a client. 40 hrs./wk.
