The opportunity

Are you an experienced underwriter looking to take the next step in your career or expand your portfolio? This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team where you'll handle complex underwriting decisions, build strong relationships with internal stakeholders as well as brokers and partners, contributing to business growth.

As we expand, we need a proactive and independent thinker who can manage high-value underwriting tasks while influencing strategic decisions.

Your new role

As an Underwriter in the Agency team, you will:

Underwrite complex new business within delegated authority and underwriting guidelines.Provide expert advice and referrals for high-value or complex risks.Manage and strengthen relationships with key agencies and partners.Work closely with Partnership Managers, Product Governance, DUA and Product Owners.Contribute to business planning and strategic initiatives.Ensure compliance with underwriting standards, regulations, and company policies.Lead process improvements and portfolio optimisation efforts.Act as a key player in our succession planning.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is:

Significant underwriting experience, ideally in one or more of our core products (farm, business pack, private & commercial motor, householders).Able to work autonomously while supporting a growing team.Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex risks.Comfortable engaging with senior underwriters, brokers, and general managers.Keen to expand their product expertise and take on more responsibility.
