Title: Underwriting Consultant Operations Lead

Purpose:
Initiate, manage, and lead critical Underwriting Department deliverables at a line of business, region, and/or department level. Role could support work related to strategic project work, product/system requirements, training, quality, delegated underwriting authority, other agent-facing initiatives, and data and analytics across the Underwriting Department.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Project Management • Liaison with other departments
• Subject Matter expertise
• Agency relationship management
• Industry trends, competition, market analysis
• Support/perform quality or risk control objectives
• Lead, direct, and troubleshoot process improvement solutions
• Vendor management for Personal Lines Underwriting
• Training for internal and external audiences
• Workflow management
Required Technical Skills:
MS Office Suite applicationsStrong command of Excel (including macros)Project Management skills/experienceStrong communication and presentation skillsStrong problem solving, diagnostic, and analytical abilitiesPower BISystems and Process skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills
Education, Certifications & Designations:
Required: Bachelor's degree or other demonstrated competencies consistent with position requirements.
Preferred: P&C insurance-relates studies
