As a Unified Communications Engineer, you will be responsible for: Responsibilities Part of an agile team to develop a scalable, highly available global voice platform Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, Engineering leaders and test engineers Managing and Understanding the performance and scalability principles and apply when developing software Able to document and communicate clearly Able to configure, Troubleshoot and support VOIP servers Overall management of Telephony Systems Qualifications +3 years of hands-on management using Asterisk Telephony System across all disciplines (Voice, Chat and email), particularly back-end configuration +3 years of industry experience in developing, configuring, and troubleshooting VOIP systems Experience in AWS and Amazon Connect is a plus Experience in implementing API integrations and configurations with 3rd party software (e.g. Salesforce, Dynamics Zendesk and other CRMs) Hands on experience in writing scripts, MySQL, Java and PHP is a huge plus Thorough understanding of VOIP protocols like SIP, RTP, RTCP, WebRTC Good understanding of networking including firewall, ALG and VPN Experience in troubleshooting tools Experience working on complex problems and systems Experience working within an Agile/Scrum team Positive, self-motivated and enthusiastic attitude with a strong sense of ownership Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
