Unified Communications Specialist

We are embarking on a transformative journey to enhance our unified communications platform, focusing on Microsoft Teams migration and adoption. As part of this initiative, we are seeking a skilled Unified Communications Specialist to lead and support our efforts across multiple communication services.

HOW A UNIFIED COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
● Lead the migration and adoption of Microsoft Teams as our primary unified communications platform.

● Design, implement, and manage Microsoft Teams environments, including configuration, customization, and integration with other systems.

● Provide technical expertise and support for Skype for Business, Jabber, Cisco CMS, VTC (Video Teleconferencing), Oracle SBCs (Session Border Controllers), and other communication services.

● Ensure seamless intercommunication between various communication platforms and services.

● Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scopes, and deliver solutions aligned with business needs.

● Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting to ensure the reliability and performance of unified communications systems.

● Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, processes, and procedures.

● Train end-users on the effective use of unified communications tools and platforms.

● Monitor system performance, analyze trends, and implement optimizations and upgrades as needed.

● Stay current with industry trends and technologies related to unified communications and recommend improvements or enhancements.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
● Required Experience: 8+ years of related experience
● Required Technical Skills: Experience with Skype for Business, Jabber, Cisco CMS, VTC systems, Oracle SBCs, and other unified communications technologies. Strong expertise in Microsoft Teams administration, including voice and video integration, channels, chat, and collaboration tools.

● Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI w/Poly
● Required Skills and Abilities: Proven experience as a Unified Communications Specialist or similar role, with a focus on Microsoft Teams migration and administration.

● Preferred Skills: Knowledge of networking principles, protocols, and security related to unified communications. Ability to manage complex projects and work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

● Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing issues.

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

The likely salary range for this position is $106,250 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
