Position Summary Hudson Yards is currently seeking a Uniform and Purchasing Coordinator who will oversee the uniform distribution process and manage procurement for operational and office supplies across Hudson Yards Experiences. This role combines key aspects of uniform management and purchasing coordination to ensure a seamless experience for employees and the smooth operation of all attractions, including Edge, Vessel, and City Climb. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly-organized, proactive, and able to juggle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. They will bring enthusiasm for customer service, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to operational excellence. Responsibilities Uniform Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for uniform distribution, fittings, alterations, returns, and exchanges for all Hudson Yards Experiences uniformed employees. Manage the inventory of uniform items, including receiving, unpacking, verifying shipments, and maintaining the uniform room’s organization and cleanliness. Track loaned and returned uniforms to ensure proper accountability and inventory control. Act as a liaison with uniform vendors and cleaning companies to resolve issues and ensure timely service. Purchasing Coordination: Oversee the procurement of operational and office supplies by sourcing from preferred vendors, obtaining competitive quotes, and managing vendor relationships. Maintain the inventory database (via Sortly), including tracking storage, usage, and reorder levels. Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accurate record-keeping and efficient usage. Collaborate with Facilities to coordinate storage and logistics for bulk orders, ensuring storage spaces are properly organized and items are clearly labeled. Ensure all purchasing complies with budgetary constraints and organizational guidelines, focusing on efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Plan and execute quarterly and annual supply ordering cycles, factoring in seasonal needs and long-term operational requirements. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with inventory management software (e.g., Sortly) is a plus. Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Must be detail-oriented and able to manage large volumes of inventory and supplies with accuracy. Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs. Professional demeanor with a positive attitude and commitment to Hudson Yards’ service standards. Knowledge of sourcing, vendor negotiations, and procurement best practices is preferred. Work Schedule and Expectations Weekly tasks will include placing orders, managing inventory, and researching vendors. Orders should be placed strategically to ensure timely delivery and minimize disruptions. Proactive communication with vendors and internal stakeholders to address supply chain issues and maintain operational continuity. This position will be based in New York City and working across all HYE visitor attractions. Edge, is the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere, with a one-of-a-kind design. It’s suspended in mid-air, giving guests the feeling of floating in the sky with 360 degree views they can’t get anywhere else. Vessel is a new kind of public landmark. Engaging and interactive, the centerpiece of the Hudson Yards Public Square and Gardens is meant to be climbed and explored with others. City Climb is the highest outdoor ascent in the world!
