SummaryWe have an exciting new opportunity within our largest grain export facility located in Belle Chasse, LA. The Union Electrician reports into our Senior Maintenance Manager, in this role you are responsible for troubleshooting the electrical schematics within our grain terminal.
Responsibilities• Troubleshoot using electrical schematics and multimeter/megger to diagnose electrical issues
• Must be able to read PLC code, troubleshoot using PLC software and program PLC controlled equipment
• Reads and understands wiring diagrams to trace electrical circuits; IO’s, OL’s, contactors, relays, break resisters and various other electrical components
• Experience with 480vAC, 120vAC, 24vDC, and 4-20mA systems
• Troubleshoot and install 480v and 3 phase power distribution systems
• Familiar with troubleshooting/set up of VFD drives; SEW drives, Siemen, Lenze, Allen Bradley, AB
• Proficient in troubleshooting electrical components; IOs, OLs, contactors, relays, break resisters and various other electrical components
• Maintain, install, troubleshoot VFDs, programmable sensors, SCADA, HMI, and PLCs.
• Electrical troubleshooting and repair of all plant equipment and utilities
• Installation and maintenance of electrical equipment such as conduit, junction boxes, control panels, wiring, etc., in conformance to the National Electrical Code
• Complete assigned work orders, and project work promptly while maintaining a neat and orderly workplace.
• Understand and troubleshoot sensor-based systems such as level controls, temperature controllers, etc.
• Repair sophisticated electronic equipment such as programmable controllers and vfd
• Able to build and read electrical/electronic schematics and drawings, fabricate control panels and start-up new and rebuilt equipment
• Perform all with safety in mind and within all compliance requirements to avoid personal injury!
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management or required by business needs.
