Position Details: Full-Time:  Monday to Friday Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Rate: $16.50 to $18.00 Responsibilities: Accurately maintain and identify patient records. Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and visitors through verbal and written means, including telephone and intercom. Transcribe nurses’ orders in accordance with policy. Assist nursing staff in making unoccupied beds and restocking clean utility rooms with fresh linens (bed pads, washcloths, towels, etc.). Support recreation aides by transporting residents to and from activities, rehabilitation sessions, and appointments as needed. Prepare and maintain the unit’s medical information system, including patient profiles. Review charts daily for incomplete histories and operative summaries, and alert the appropriate healthcare team members for correction. Report any unusual resident behavior to nursing staff and aides. Prepare special forms and obtain closed records from Medical Records as required. Complete requests for non-medical services, such as beauty shop appointments. Update and manage patient profiles and bed status upon admission, discharge, and transfer. Stock and manage supplies, including linens and IV supplies. Assist with receiving, distributing, and sorting supplies for the unit, ensuring accurate charging of exchange-cart items. Perform clerical duties such as copying and faxing documents. Greet visitors and consultants to the unit and assist as needed. Answer incoming calls and route them to the appropriate extension. Track appointments (ordered vs. completed). Upload forms, consultations, and resident records to the electronic medical record system. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Reliable transportation to and from the facility. Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
