Qualifications

EDUCATION

Minimum: High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred: Medical Terminology, basic EKG Course
 

EXPERIENCE

None required.
 

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION

American Heart Association BLS, completion of department proficiencies and competencies.
 

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of computer use and medical terminology.

Description

Position Summary

Responsible for computer entry of orders on any patient in the emergency department and logging of information upon discharge from the Emergency Department. Maintains callboard and places calls to PMD/on call physicians at the request of physicians/nurses. Keeps work station clean and orderly.
