Overview
The Main Tower Unit Secretary will perform a variety of duties to assist in the smooth and efficiant running of the department. They will provide directions and instructions to our patients, their families and staff to help navigate the New Expansion areas within our Hospital. The Unit Secretary will also performs a variety of clerical and receptionist duties to assist patients, families, nurses, physicians and other staff consistent with the policies and procedures of United Health Services. The ideal candidate will have the ability to multitask and offer encouraging support to patients, their families and UHS staff. Secretarial responsibilities include arranging transport for discharge, testing, MRI and other. Processing admissions and discharges through the Epic System. (familiarity with Epic strongly desired). The Unit Secretary will be working with and assisting Case Managers, Discharge Planners, Physicians, Providers, and Visitiors. The unit secretary should have great phone skills and a comfort level on the phone. The Unit Secretary will also be relied upon for Unit Maintenance and Quality Improvement related tasks. The shift is 12 hours. 9:00 AM - 9:30 PM. The ideal candidates will be able to work the entire shift and have flexible availability. Including a weekend rotation.
Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent or 2 Years relevant experience
Preferred:
+ Previous clerical experience
+ Previous hospital or health care experience
License/Certification
