Job Summary
The Senior Director of Manufacturing and Supply Chain directs efforts for the internal manufacturing operations and external supply chain (Purchasing, Inventory, Material Handling & Shipping/Receiving). They are responsible for establishing and developing the broader company strategy related to internal and external procurement of products and how it translates to the team’s goals and objectives. They interact with internal and external senior and executive level management on contract negotiations, communication strategies, and policymaking. They partner with the Senior Leadership Team to provide a cohesive direction towards the company’s vision, mission, and overall strategy.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:
Provide competitively advantaged supply chain and manufacturing capabilities and performance in support of customer expectations and the requirements of the businessProvide oversight to the development and implementation of United Rotorcraft’s annual financial, customer excellence, operational goals, marketing, policies, and proceduresPrepare, monitor, and execute to the annual operating and capital budgets for their organizational departmentsLead strategic sourcing agreement negotiations with key vendors and execute contracts that protect the company’s financial interests and compliance obligationsDirect the activities of all functions involved in purchasing, inventory management, warehousing, control of materials, and logistics from the receipt of customer orders to the delivery of the finished product into finished goods inventory and delivery to the customerReport regularly to the senior leadership team on the organization’s performance and other salient informationDeploy continuous improvement strategy to maximize operational excellenceMaintain Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations and supply chain managementMaintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to procurement and internal operational processesOversee Customer Experience team supporting deliverables related to manufactured and procured itemsAdditional Job Requirements

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position directly manages the Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain, and Customer Experience team that consists of a Supply Chain Manager, Manufacturing Managers, Quality Control Supervisor, Product Fulfillment, and Customer Experience Mangers. They carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Their responsibilities include coaching, developing, interviewing, selecting, hiring, training, planning, and assigning work to their team members. They will conduct performance reviews and assessments, reward and discipline employees, address complaints, and resolve conflicts through crucial conversations.

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) from an accredited four-year college preferred; and ten or more years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.5-10 years of direct management experience. Must be a critical thinker with confidence and speed in execution.Experience in component manufacturing, assembly, and/or MRO in aerospace or other industrial segmentsExperience in managing cost center and/or P&LExperience in applying lean manufacturing and six sigma principles in a production environment.Skills
