Position Summary
Performs a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain patient rooms, offices, hallways, and other assigned areas. May operate mechanical floor cleaners, vacuums, and ladders. Moving furniture and other heavy objects as needed. May also perform terminal cleaning procedures of patient rooms, operating rooms, procedure rooms, and prepare rooms for new patients.
Primary Position Responsibilities
1.
Assembles necessary cleaning supplies and equipment, transports them to the designated area of assignment. Restricts access to cleaning chemicals as appropriate. Returns and charges machines (if appropriate) ensures they are clean and in good repair.
2.
Sweeps, mops, vacuums floors; washes walls, mirrors, ceilings, and windows, dusts furniture, moves items as necessary.
3.
Gathers and disposes of trash and linen. Cleans containers and relines where appropriate.
4.
Routinely polishes floors using an electrical or battery operated machine.
5.
Completes carpet shampooing, carpet spotting, bonneting carpets and extracting carpets.
6.
Washes floor care residue from affected areas which may include: walls, mirrors, ceilings, windows, and baseboards.
7.
Changes and cleans cubicle curtains, blinds, and drapes as appropriate.
8.
Performs job duties as necessary for job class 520, 521
