Position Information Position Information Position Availability: Position Title: University Housing Student Ambassador Requisition Number: 0406073582 Location New York City Position Type: Student Department: CA/Housing Responsibilities: This position assists with mail and package delivery in the residence halls. This position will report to the Senior Office Assistant, students also work closely with the Senior Mail Clerk and the Director of Housing Operations.

Key Responsibilities: Proactively check mailboxes and contact residents for overstuffed mailboxes; assist with the sorting and distribution of mail, including tracking packages. Assist with mail delivery including monitoring all mail/package, communications, package return, and collaboration with Campus Safety Log receipt and issuing of packages in the computer system. Assist with Marketing and Outreach: Help create and distribute promotional materials (e.g., brochures, social media content) about on-campus housing, and participate in events to increase awareness about housing options. Support Housing Operations: Help with the logistics of students moving in or out of housing at the beginning and end of the semester, ensuring the process runs smoothly. Conduct Walk-throughs: Help with monitoring the building facilities (i.e. practice rooms, laundry rooms, communal bathrooms, fitness centers/equipment, etc) in order and report any issues or concerns directly with the facilities team using the work order system. Other responsibilities, as assigned.
Work Mode On-Campus Position 10-20 hours per week
Hourly Rate: $16.50 per hour Minimum Qualifications: Qualifications Ability to coordinate with outside mailing vendors (i.e., UPS, FedEx, etc.) Ability to lift packages that weigh at least 20 pounds. Excellent customer service skills Clear communication skills: listening, verbal & written skills etc. Dexterity, efficiency and self-motivation to sort large volumes of mail.
