Description: To provide information technology support for the library’s operational, academic, and research mission, liaising with campus Information Technology Services as needed, providing customer service, prompt resolution of issues, and creative problem-solving. This position will collaborate closely with the department team to ensure accessibility and usability of the Makerspace, audio/video production, collaboration areas, and other specialized student spaces in the library. Primary Function of Organizational Unit: The library’s academic technology team works to provide an information technology backbone for the library’s operational, academic, and research mission, liaising with campus Information Technology Services as needed, providing excellent customer service, prompt resolution of issues, and creative problem-solving. The team utilizes a triage model to effectively deploy our time, expertise, and resources. This position coordinates with our student workers, our Tier I support, serving as Tier II support, referring situations to Tier III as needed. We also provide an entrepreneurial-focused and curricula-engaged Makerspace, including audio/video production and software development supporting students, researchers, and employees to collaborate on multidisciplinary projects.
