General Summary:This is a year round, paid internship position responsible for completing assigned work items in a timely manner and ensuring high quality service to business partners. The assigned work can be from different business areas and can vary in complexity and type.•Gain real world experience working for the leader in the supplemental insurance and disability-based employee benefits marketplace and in a professional office setting.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Candidate must be actively taking classes at an accredited collegeRequired GPA of 3.0 in major or overall GPA of 3.0Demonstrated openness to mastering new tasks and work processesSolid critical thinking and analytical skillsMust be comfortable in a culture of coaching, ongoing feedback and career developmentDisplay team oriented skillsMust be proficient in MS Word and Excel software applicationsStrong ability to work independently and be self directed on project or tasked-based workStrong time management skills, ability to prioritize and function in a FIFO, high production, deadline driven environmentStrong Customer Service focus. The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.
$33,200.00-$52,000.00Additionally, Unum offers a portfolio of benefits and rewards that are competitive and comprehensive including healthcare benefits (health, vision, dental), insurance benefits (short & long-term disability), performance-based incentive plans, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match up to 5% and an additional 4.5% contribution whether you contribute to the plan or not. All benefits are subject to the terms and conditions of individual Plans.
