Our Global Architecture & Urbanism Division combines the expertise of IBI’s Buildings and Placemaking practice, our Places’ capabilities, and CRTKL’s multi-sector design leadership to offer a diverse range of solutions focusing on human-centric design, sustainability, and technology. 

Join our dynamic placemaking team based in Vancouver and help "design the cities of tomorrow" with projects throughout the lower mainland and BC! With an urban planning and engagement focus, you will join a tight-knit group of passionate planners, urban designers and landscape architects to lead and support projects for public and private-sector clients. Role accountabilities:

Participate in a broad range of projects: from site specific feasibility studies to community policy initiatives, TOD projects, master plans, and development approvalsLead and support stakeholder engagement for a wide variety of placemaking projectsDefine outreach strategies and draft engagement / communication plansPlan, manage, and facilitate physical and online engagement processesContribute to the growth and development of our Indigenous Engagement practiceNetwork and build relationships with current and prospective clients and other strategic contactsRepresent our practice/projects at conferences or other events

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

3-10 years of experience in planning, urban design, or applied professionsEligible for Registered Professional Planner (RPP) designationAn accredited degree in Urban Planning; a master’s degree is an assetIAP2 certification is an assetFamiliarity with provincial planning legislation and the development approval processExcellent written and verbal communication skills

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
