Role description:

Work as an integrated member of a project team, completing regular design tasks including data collection, options development and  analysis and design development with overview from a more senior designer. Manage a small project team in the execution of simple projects or parts of moderately comples projects under the guidance of a more senior designer

Role accountabilities:

Plan assigned project work and allocate work to ensure timely delivery and effective utilisation of resources Work collaboratively with other sectors and disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design or solution Monitor the performance of team members identifying and ensuring the resolution of any issues Develop effective working relationships with the Task Manager and with the internal stakeholder and ensure effective communication of progress and changes and the resolution of issues Coach, guide and provide technical advice to junior team members, to support them in their delivery of the project and in their professional development Review own work to ensure that it meets specified standards before checking by others Provide regular updates to immediate manager with regard to project status and/or issues on projects or team member/s. Pursue professional development and learning specially on the latest trends and innovations in the practice of urban planning and design. Perform role in accordance with Arcadis behavioural framework Promote and role model Arcadis Health and Safety Principles during the planning and delivery of work

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an architecture related discipline Achieved Licenced status or equivalent At least 6 years experience in Urban Design and Planning Good research and writing skills Preferably with familiarity to parametric design and GIS Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Excellent time management skills
