Role Summary

This role supports the Urban Outfitters brand across 6 Countries and 17 stores.

 

This role sits in our newly created head office in Munich, Germany. Alongside a team of corporate and retail roles, this role will closely business partner to support EU store expansion and success.

What You'll Be Doing

General

Building strong partnerships with the EU retail store teams, generating a network of contacts and working with them on succession and retention planning.To initiate and drive development of culture and engagement across the Retail teams.In line with EU HR Strategy, drive engagement, wellbeing and D&I initiatives across EU Retail Stores. Own quarterly KPI reporting and challenging the business leaders and partnering with them to improve results; pinpoint key themes and patterns and out agreed plans in place to correct.Responsible for the creation, updating and implementation of all policy and procedure, ensuring it reflects the commercial needs of the business and is always legally compliant.

Learning & Development

In collaboration with the Learning & Development team, implement a learning and development calendar which develops and fosters a strong leadership culture and instils new ways of working throughout the EU Retail Stores. Champion a business focused on Induction and Onboarding

Reward/ Compensation & Benefits

Lead the Retail store teams through annual pay reviews and bonusHave a comprehensive knowledge of the pay and benefits structures internally with relevantexternal/competitor intelligence to assist you in making the right decisions with internal promotion and succession.With support from the Recruitment team, establish competitor benchmarking to support the business to attract and retain the best talent

Employee Relations/Employment Law

Ensure URBN is compliant with all employment law, proactively seek updates. Provide Employee Relations advice to EU Retail teams ensuring a best practice approach, whilst remaining commercial and balancing the needs of business and the employee.Lead the HR team through any complex ER projectsTo use monthly and quarterly reporting to identify any absence issues and deal with them, accordingly.Proactively identifying performance issues with managers and recommending a best practice approach, providing support as appropriate.Build good working relationship with external legal teams What You'll Need Proven generalist HR experience in a fast paced environment.Solid understanding of employment law Strongly results driven and delivery focused. Robust enough to combine a creative, innovative approach with commercial ideas.Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision and guidance.Ability to build strong, credible relationships quickly and to be trusted at all levels.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to deliver with impact.High attention to detail and quick at identifying priorities.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
